7.    Treasurer’s report

Circulated prior to the meeting. The Profit & Loss figures show an operational year to date surplus of £4,614, plus donations of £2673, recovery of the wall accident excess of £250 and interest of £1908. Good interest on our saving account.

8.   Power supply & energy update

Paper from KM. Range of questions were asked and answered about costs; income; contract implications; insurance; financial implications if Northumberland Community Energy Ltd (NCEL) folds. Given that the financial difference is slight between running this independently for 20 years and the offer from the co-op, it was agreed that NCEL was the best option.  Further clarification to be sought in terms of
liability.

Agreed: Join NCEL for solar energy system for the Village Hall.

Action: JH to contact IF to clarify arrangements for conveying the decision to Fiona Knox.

9.   Development Plan

Water by the gate. Clearing the weeds has helped but is not a solution given that the pavement is higher than the yard. Two potential solutions are being considered and KM is waiting for further information from a builder to finalise a paper on these options.

Action: KM to present options for resolving drainage problems by the main gate at next meeting.

10.  Review ofthe building

To be completed by February meeting to feed into development plan and budget.

Agreed: information to JH by Sunday 16th February for collation.

11.  Safeguarding policy

Minor amendments were made to the safeguarding policy. MD & KM agreed to have their telephone contact details included in the policy.

Agreed: safeguarding policy with minor amendments; review date January 2026
