Letter received from NCEL inviting the committee to be nominated to join the board.  At this stage committee members are unable to take up the offer.

Action: JH to respond to thank NCEL for the offer and to decline the invitation.

9.    Repairs & Maintenance-

Bat roost

The bat survey showed a roost below the water table. To gain listed building consent for repairs we are expected to produce a ‘method statement’ at a cost of £75 and pay a fee of £200 for a watching brief & site visit to meet the builder carrying out repair work on our behalf.

Agreed: to fund this within the repair work budget.

Benches

Thanks to PD for his work.  One bench has been stripped and sanded down. The broken arm has been repaired and small areas of soft wood treated. Awaiting a light oak stain and yacht varnish. The other bench is dismantled ready for stripping.

10.  Development Plan

Plan up to date; no further work to be completed this month.

Finance: minor amendments agreed. Confirmed that IF, JH & JM are the current signatories for the account.  Next review Sept 2025

KM reviewed the premises in the light of an attempted break in at the bowls club.  No action needed now, but this will be kept under review.
