7.    Treasurer’s report

Profit & Loss, year to date shows a surplus of £2444, plus donations of £1874, plus recovery of £250 excess paid when there was an accident to the wall. Taking account of energy bills yet to be presented, the current financial position remains healthy.

8.   Power supply & energy update

The work on solar energy and battery installation is in abeyance awaiting the outcome of a planning decision expected on 24th October 2024.

9.   Development Plan

Plan up to date; no additional work has been identified for inclusion in the plan.

Hall documents that are held, but rarely needed could be stored in existing cupboards above the table store, thus avoiding additional work and cost.

Action: KM to check that the space is accessible and suitable.

10.  Building repointing

Unfortunately, we were not successful in our bids for grant funding.

Agreed: leave the less essential repointing of the front of the building until next year. Use available funds to repair the supper room gable end where damp is causing a significant problem internally as well as externally.

Action: KM to talk about options to Brendan Teasdale, one of the contractors who bid for the work.

11.  Policy on Alcohol

Agreed: policy accepted.

Action: JH to update agreed changes. Review date October 2027.
