Computer sessions at Lesbury Village Hall

I am sure you will recall that part of the grant we received from Awards for All was to help us to provide support to local people who want to make better use of their computer, laptop or iPAD.

Those who completed our questionnaire about this said that they needed support with the internet, social media and general applications so that’s where we plan to start. A number of people also wanted help to access and complete on line forms.

With that in mind, we have now purchased four laptops for the Village Hall and are ready to provide support to people of all ages on a regular basis; probably weekly if there is sufficient demand.

if you prefer to bring your own laptop, iphone  or ipad that’s fine.  Our first session will be between 10.00 and 12.00 on Friday 16th January 2015; the same day as film night so it’s easy to remember.

There is no need to make an appointment and there is no charge.

You might want to pick up a coffee at the Post Office before you call in to the hall.  Even if you do not need help in the areas mentioned above, just call in and talk to us about what you would find helpful. Roger Styring, Jan McMahon and one or two others will be there to offer a wide range of help.

Anyone who is already computer literate, proficient in any of the areas mentioned above who would like to come along to help will be most welcome. We hope that between us we will have sufficient expertise to deal with most challenges that arise.

Initially we have set time aside for six weekly sessions at the same time each Friday; more if needed.  Please drop in and try out this new service for the Lesbury community.
