Minutes of the AGM held on Tuesday 21 May 2024 at 7.30pm

Chairman’s Welcome
The Chairman welcomed everyone from the committee and Mr Lightley. The meeting opened at 7.30pm.

Confirmation of minutes of previous AGM
Minutes of the AGM of 16 May 2023 were agreed and signed.
Matters Arising
None
Chairman’s Report
The Chairman’s report was circulated. The report highlighted the events, clubs and activities that had taken place during the last year. The increase in hire fees had no adverse impact on what the hall was able to provide for the community. Thanks were given to committee members who had undertaken a range of task to support the hall and to keep it vibrant and to the Parish Council for meeting insurance costs. There were no questions, and the report was formally accepted.
Treasurer’s Report and presentation of financial statement
The independently examined accounts were presented. A surplus of just under £4k at the year end provides a good cushion for the current financial year. Unlike the previous year, there had been no major development work during 2023-24. Routine maintenance work was within budget plans and the increase in hire charges enabled energy costs to be met.
Election of Committee
The Chair (JM), Treasurer (IF), Secretary (JH), and Vice Chair (KM) agreed to stand for a further year and were formally re-elected. Other committee members also indicated their willingness to continue in their current roles.
