  1. Treasurer’s report

Profit & loss at the year end shows an operation surplus of £5263.46, subject to finalising with the accountant. This includes c£1500 interest from the Saffron account, and excludes donations of £1959.49

Northumberland Accountants appointed to prepare the presentation of the externally examined accounts for 2025-6.

Draft budget for 2026-7 was circulated prior to the meeting. No questions raised. IF confirmed that development work relating to painting and floor reparation were in a separate development budget.

Agreed: Budget adopted.

Insurance renewal was discussed and the premium is still competitive.

Agreed: Stay with same company

Action: JH to contact the PC to ask if support to meet insurance costs will be given.

  1. Power supply & energy update

It was confirmed during the Hallmark Assessment that planning/LBC was not needed for battery storage in the yard.  Work with solicitors is continuing. NCEL not willing to give indemnity to cover the costs of removing the panels after 20 years if the company has folded at that time.

  1. Development Plan update

Two quotes at a similar price received for the interior and exterior painting tasks. Further questions to be raised to ensure the two quotes are comparable and to check if VAT is included. Also, find out expected timescales for completing the work. Both painting companies endorsed by NE

Action: KM to gather responses and possible recommendation to be circulated to Trustees to enable an informed choice to be made.

  1. Hallmark

The standard required to meet each of the three levels of Hallmark were reached.  Certificates will be forwarded.

  1. Highlights

The Pocket Choral society had close to 50 attendees.  It was well received, and as expected made a very small contribution to funds. Two people came forward to take on future events.  JH and Mary H will try to arrange a meeting with them in the next few weeks.

  1. AGM Arrangements

The event will take place immediately after the next meeting.
