Lesbury Village Hall

A little gem at the heart of the community

Village Hall Committee former Chairman Roger Styring wrote in the January 2014 Edition of The Bridge magazine:

“We are moving into exciting times, the Village Hall Committee are presently looking at how we can refurbish the hall to include disable access toilets, install a new heating system, improve the kitchen facilities and use our storage areas more creatively. In an effort to increase our community use we are also exploring the possibility of showing films and using the hall in new and innovative ways.
Formation of the plans and proposals are in the initial stages but we are committed to pursuing these projects as quickly as possible. Please contact me or other members of the committee if you would like to have a look at our ideas. We would also welcome any offers of help, either from a professional or practical point of view, or from anyone with experience of fund raising etc.  Our proposals will be on display when they are committed to paper in a presentable form, watch this space.”

Following that announcement the Hall has undergone a number of essential refurbishments such as new improved kitchen, refurbished flooring, new double glazing, new toilets , removal of inner ceiling etc.

The Village Hall Committee is grateful for the support and funding received over the last three years to make the hall fit for the 21st Century.

Improving the hall for those who use it continues. We are in the process of trying to make the hall even more energy efficient and improving the entrance.
