We have new film equipment, broadband and the facility to use zoom.  If you want to make use of any of these facilities please talk to a member of the Committee.  

Current events

Aln Community Singers 

Invite you to an evening of song, food and good cheer. Please bring your own drink and glasses and the choir will provide a ploughman’s snack for all those who attend. 

Proceeds from the event will be for Ukraine & the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

If you are no longer able to make the revised date, please obtain a refund from the post office.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. 

 

Ceilidh to celebrate 50 years in the village hall

Featuring:

Mike Jevons, caller

And the ‘Simply Northumbrian Ceilidh Band’

Tickets £10 from the Post Office – bring your own refreshments. 

 

There will be a Highlights concert on Saturday 22nd  October called “Howay the lasses”. More details to follow.

In November we plan to host two films for the children at Hipsburn School as part of a nationwide film festival.

Other Activities

Art and Bridge on Monday,  Bridge and Toddlers on Tuesday, Pilates, Lunch Cub and Autumn Club onWednesdays,  Dance Fitness,Tai Chi, Choir and Bowls Club on Thursdays and Pilates, Film Night and Table Tennis  on Fridays have restarted in the hall. There are fewer restrictions on group sizes.  Each group will tell you what measures are in place to assure safety. 
We have an  embroidery group on the first Saturday of every month and a Book Club on the 4th Monday afternoon in the month.
