We were pleased that Ruth Bond was able to re-visit our art group. This time she showed us how to achieve a more impressionistic approach to a landscape. The landscape was the land and hill beyond the Duchess bridge into Alnmouth. Ruth was using water soluable oil paints. In addition to actually painting the scene while commenting on the progress she also visited us individually helping us with practical remarks like which brush to use, how to blend colours, when to use water with the paint etc.
